Ernest Kenneth "Kenny" Shoemaker, 60, joined the Lord Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 6:13 a.m.. A man, who lived as the great band Lynyrd Skynyrd stated, "Free Bird". A man, who lived as free as one could. No matter right or wrong, you were you. A man who you cannot change. A man as anyone who remembers you will state. You had a loving heart. May not have shown it, but we knew you did.
You'd think with how big your ears were, which could pick up a signal from outer space you have more of a listening ear, but you were opinionated. Could be frustrating at times, but again, it was you and wouldn't change you. As what some would say, we're saying goodbye, but believe you're still here. You weren't a punctual man. You're late getting to them gates. We'll just "call you the breeze, you keep blowing down the road."
Kenny will be remembered in the hearts of girlfriend, Yvonne; sons, Kenny, Josh, Ben, John Kaleb, and Daniel; daughters, Amber and Jennifer; grandsons, Scotty, Joshua, Kaden, Levi, Benjamin, and Layne; granddaughters, Alexis, Sage, Addison, Angelina, Audurie, and Kaydence; sister, Kim; brother, Jimmy; nieces, Gabrielle and and Kendall; nephews, Larry and Zach; and many loving family and friends.
A Memorial of Celebration will be held at June 1, 2019 for friends and family at Snyder Park in Springfield, Ohio from the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Following the memorial gathering the family will be traveling to Rarden, Ohio to spread "Kenny's" cremains at his father's burial site in remembrance of his life.
Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
