Nellie V. Smith

Nellie V. “Peggy” Smith, 82, of Huntsville, Ohio, formerly of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. She was born on October 8, 1939, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Earl and Lou Verna (McDaniel) Kessler. Peggy was an avid bowler and had several perfect 300 games at Shamrock Lanes in Springfield. She also enjoyed taking cruise vacations. Peggy was employed for many years as a cook at Keg ‘n’ Cork Beverage Center where she retired. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Carl (Teri) Kilburn, Jr., Anthony (Twila) Kilburn, and Michelle (Mark) Neitz; nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by sisters, Beulah Sloan and Faye Macy; brothers, Paul Kessler, David Kessler, and Jimmy Kessler. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Springfield Masonic Center, 125 West High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45502.
