James Edward Tipton

James Edward Tipton, 70, of New Carlisle, Ohio went to be with the lord on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born May 23, 1948, he is the son of the late Melvin and Christine (Marcum) Tipton. James was a very proud continuous member of the Fraternal Order of Police, John C. Post lodge A01 for 36 years. He also was their chaplain for some years. He is survived by two sons, James Tipton II and his wife Tika, William 'Bill' Tipton and his wife Jessy; three grandsons, Hunter, Chase and Westley Tipton; a loving a caring brother and sister, Mel and Mira Tipton; and a host of other family and friends. James was preceded in death by his late wife, Emma Carol Tipton, that passed away on September 1, 2005. His cremated remains will be buried at Clifton Cemetery in Clifton, Ohio at a later date. Final arrangements entrusted to the care of the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
