Larry Butler, 59, transitioned from this life to his life with Jesus on Monday, June 17, 2019. He was born March 30, 1960 in Tuskegee, Alabama and was nurtured by his loving mother, Alma Campbell.
He was affectionately known as “Butler” and was the eldest of six children: Claudette, Clyde (Delois), Mark (Linda), Marie, and Pamela. Larry later became a loving father to LeAndre, Jonathan and Toria. He was educated in the Cincinnati Public School system and attended Hughes High School; as well as, Greens Christian Academy where he obtained his GED.
Larry was a dedicated and hard worker. He worked several years for the City of Cincinnati’s Sanitation Division, BFI and Rumpke. He professed his faith for Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at Salem Tabernacle Baptist Church. Larry found great comfort, hope and joy in the Lord and His Word.
He was known for his playful spirit and welcoming disposition. Larry had a kind heart and loving nature. He felt it was his business to make people laugh and to be happy. Larry also loved to dance, sing and play cards.
Larry loved his "wifey", Andi. Larry and Andrewnette (nee Phillips) were married October 25, 2008. This was a love between friends and soulmates. He became a stepfather through this union to Bryan A. Allen.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Andrewnette Butler; daughter, Toria; sons, LeAndre and Jonathan Butler; stepson, Bryan A. Allen; mother-in-law, Marjorie C. Phillips; cousin, Deloria Butler aka his sister; nephew, Brandon Campbell who also became his little brother; six grandchildren; best friends, Dwight Green and Ronald Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Corinthian Baptist Church, 1920 Tennessee Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45237 with funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
